Juneteenth will be observed on Monday, June 20 and many hungry customers need to know is Wawa open on the Federal Holiday?

June 19 is now going to be recognized as a federal holiday. The holiday is recognizing the date back in 1865 when Union Army Major General Gordon Granger arrived at Galveston, Texas to inform enslaved African Americans that they were free. It has been celebrated unofficially as Juneteenth since then.

In 2021, President Joe Biden enacted that the date would be recognized as a federal holiday moving forward in the United States. However, in 2022, the federal holiday falls on a Sunday, so it will be recognized on Monday, June 20.

With the state of the holiday, we know that federal buildings will be closed on Juneteenth. However, for hungry people on the go, there are other questions. For one, is Wawa open or closed on Juneteenth?

Have no fear. If you’re craving a quick and delicious sandwich, hoagie or sub, or are just looking for a quick convenient store snack, you can go to Wawa as they’re open on Juneteenth.

In fact, the website states that the store will still hold its normal operating times and will be open 24 hours. You can check with your local store to be safe, but it appears that anyone needing their Wawa fix won’t have any trouble curbing that craving.
