Mario Bautista is the fighter to watch at for at UFC Vegas 57.

Saturday, June 25, UFC Vegas 57 will be taking place live from the UFC APEX. The UFC has scheduled a rather unique main event as two future contenders are meeting in the main event. No. 11 ranked Arman Tsarukyan takes on No. 12 ranked Mateusz Gamrot in a five-round fight.

The co-main event is just as exciting. Prospect Shavkat Rakhmonov, 15-0 with all of his wins coming by finish, gets a big jump in competition as he takes on No. 10 ranked Neil Magny.

There are a total of 12 fights on this card; six on the main card and six on the prelims. Tons of exciting fighters spread out throughout the card. However, there is one specific fighter to keep your eye out on the UFC Vegas 57 card, and that is Mario Bautista.

After beating Jay Perrin in February, Mario Bautista looks to keep his winning ways going against Brian Kelleher

Bautista is a bantamweight standing at 5’9” and a reach of 69”. The 28-year-old holds a record of 9-2. He’s won three of his fights by knockout and three of his fights by submission. He trains at MMA LAB which is also the home to fellow bantamweight Sean O’Malley, Jared Cannonier, and Benson Henderson.

Bautista was 6-0 heading into his UFC debut where he lost to now No. 4 ranked Cory Sandhagen. He would redeem himself by winning back-to-back fights which included a flying knee TKO victory over Miles Johns. Bautista would lose to Trevin Jones at UFC 259 and would take an over year-long break. A decision victory over Jay Perrin got Bautista back into the victory column on Feb. 19.

A big test is on Bautista’s hands as he takes on UFC veteran Brian Kelleher. Kelleher holds an MMA record of 24-13 where he’s won ten of his fights by submission and eight by knockout. Kelleher’s wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu have been a problem for a lot of the UFC bantamweights. The 35 will look to test Bautista at UFC Vegas 57.

Bautista is about to enter his physical prime at the age of 28. With a complete game and exciting fight style, Bautista is the fighter to watch out for at UFC Vegas 57.
